📢 Job Vacancy – Supply Chain & International Shipping Specialist 📍 Location: Amman, Jordan 🕒 Joining Date: Immediate We are a leading company in the solar energy and construction contracting sector, seeking a qualified professional to manage international shipping and supply chain operations, primarily from China to Southern and Central African countries. Key Responsibilities Coordinate shipments from China to African destinations via sea, air, and land transportation. Obtain and negotiate competitive freight rates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, NVOCCs, and shipping agents. Compare shipping quotations, routes, transit times, and total shipping costs to identify the most cost-effective solutions. Coordinate customs clearance, import procedures, and delivery with agents at origin and destination. Prepare and review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Identify required import permits, certifications, and regulatory approvals for destination countries. Track shipments, manage delays, and resolve customs, documentation, and transportation issues. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of practical experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations. Hands-on experience shipping goods from China to Southern or Central African countries is highly preferred. Good knowledge of freight rates, shipping routes, Incoterms, customs clearance, and import documentation. Strong negotiation, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good command of written and spoken English and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
