This role combines shipping operations, freight rate sourcing, cost monitoring, and coordination with the Sales Department.

المهام والمسؤوليات

• Request, collect, and compare freight rates from overseas agents, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other service providers.
• Maintain and update freight rate databases, including validity periods, transit times, free time, surcharges, and service conditions.
• Evaluate quotations from agents and carriers to identify competitive and reliable shipping options.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for different shipping services, including ocean freight, inland transportation, customs clearance, and other applicable charges.
• Coordinate with the Sales Department to provide accurate cost information and support the preparation of customer quotations.
• Follow up with agents and carriers to negotiate rates and clarify charges, exclusions, and payment terms.
• Monitor rate validity and request updated quotations when required.
• Coordinate and monitor shipments from booking to final delivery.
• Follow up on cargo readiness, vessel schedules, ETD/ETA updates, transshipment, documentation, customs clearance, and inland transportation.
• Communicate with overseas agents, shipping lines, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure shipping documents and operational records are accurate and complete.
• Identify and resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and operational challenges promptly.
• Monitor shipment-related costs and compare actual costs against the originally quoted or approved costs.
• Verify supplier and agent invoices against agreed rates, quotations, and supporting documents.
• Identify additional charges, unexpected expenses, and cost variances, and report discrepancies to management.
• Maintain accurate shipment cost records and ensure that all relevant operational expenses are recorded.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department regarding supplier invoices, outstanding charges, and cost documentation.
• Support management reporting on freight costs, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain organized records of agents, shipping lines, suppliers, and their agreed rates.
• Prepare regular reports on freight rates, shipment status, operational costs, and supplier performance.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with international agents and logistics partners.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve service quality, and optimize shipping solutions.

المتطلبات

• Previous experience in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or pricing coordination is preferred.
• Good understanding of international shipping procedures, freight quotations, and Incoterms.
• Experience communicating with overseas agents, shipping lines, or freight forwarders is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and cost-monitoring skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to organize and analyze freight rate data.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills, particularly in written English.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
• Ability to compare quotations, identify cost discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
