Job Opening: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services / MEP) (JORDANIANS ENGINEERS ONLY) A 1st degree construction company in Jordan are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive expertise in building construction projects to join our engineering team. Key Responsibilities: - MEP Management: Oversee the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage) for high-rise or large-scale building construction projects. - Technical Oversight: Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements to ensure compliance with international standards, local codes, and project specifications. - Site Supervision amp; Coordination: Lead mechanical site inspections, resolve on-site technical bottlenecks, and ensure seamless integration between mechanical, electrical, and structural trades (BIM coordination). - Contract amp; Quality Control: Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance, ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, and maintain high-quality workmanship on site. - Project Delivery: Collaborate with project managers, planners, and clients to monitor progress, manage schedules, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Requirements: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. - Experience: Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with a strong, proven track record specifically in building construction and MEP services. - Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in HVAC load calculations, fluid mechanics, plumbing design, and fire-fighting systems. Familiarity with local regulations, codes, and relevant engineering software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD). - Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership capabilities with a strong ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and liaise with stakeholders. - Languages: Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
