📢 Job Vacancy – Logistics Officer We are a leading company in the solar energy and construction contracting sector, seeking a qualified and motivated Logistics Officer to join our team in Amman, Jordan. Key Responsibilities Maintain a good understanding of sea freight, air freight, and land transportation. Negotiate competitive rates with shipping lines, NVOCCs, freight forwarders (FFWs), customs clearance agents, and transportation companies. Coordinate and follow up with shipping companies, customs clearance agents, and other third parties to ensure timely delivery of goods and efficient handling of shipping and logistics operations. Manage communication with customs clearance agents to ensure smooth and compliant clearance procedures. Prepare and review import shipment documents to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Monitor and track shipments and resolve any logistical challenges that may arise. Obtain the necessary approvals for incoming shipments in accordance with applicable regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or customs clearance. Strong knowledge of import procedures, international shipping, and customs regulations. Experience handling shipments to Central and Southern African countries is highly preferred. Required Skills Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities. Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
