Chief Accountant Key Responsibilities: Oversee the company’s accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring. Prepare and monitor budgets, financial forecasts, and expenditure reports. Analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations to management. Ensure compliance with applicable Jordanian tax regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements. Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures. Monitor the company’s financial position, liquidity, and working capital. Establish and improve internal financial controls, accounting procedures, and reporting systems. Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and other relevant parties. Provide accurate financial analysis and support management in financial planning and decision-making. Supervise accounting activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a professional qualification such as CMA, CPA, or ACCA is an advantage. Minimum 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the service sector. Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Strong knowledge of Jordanian tax regulations, social security requirements, and applicable accounting standards. Experience in developing internal controls, improving accounting processes, and preparing management reports. Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems. High level of accuracy, confidentiality, accountability, and the ability to work independently.
