Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at AL Qana Mixed-Use Development, Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in HVAC, district cooling, plumbing, drainage, pumps, mechanical systems, tenant/retail fit-out, and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) within a commercial, retail, hospitality, or mixed-use environment. Key Responsibilities: · Manage and troubleshoot HVAC and district cooling systems, including tenant cooling issues. · Review heat-load calculations and verify tenant cooling requirements. · Review tenant fit-out drawings, MEP/shop drawings, technical submissions, and material submittals. · Oversee plumbing, drainage, pumps, and other mechanical systems. · Plan and monitor PPM and reactive maintenance activities. · Investigate breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions. · Supervise contractors and specialist service providers. · Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable standards. · Coordinate with tenants, consultants, contractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues. · Monitor equipment performance, recurring failures, maintenance records, and improvement requirements. Required Skills and Competencies: · 8–12 years of relevant experience. · Experience in Facilities Management, Commercial, Retail, Hospitality, or Mixed-Use Developments. · Strong knowledge of HVAC, District Cooling, Plumbing, Drainage, PPM & Mechanical Maintenance. · Experience with AutoCAD, MEP drawings, technical submissions, and tenant fit-out works.
