Company: MTEC Electromechanical Works LLCLocation: Abu Dhabi, United Arab EmiratesEmployment Type: Full-timeOpenings: 1Minimum Experience: 20+ years of directly relevant experienceABOUT THE ROLEProvide executive leadership for MEP operations across multiple projects, with accountability for delivery strategy, technical performance, programme, commercial results, quality, HSE, client satisfaction and organizational capability.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Set the MEP delivery strategy, operating model, governance and performance standards for assigned projects and business units.• Provide leadership to project managers, construction managers, technical teams and functional heads and ensure clear accountability for time, cost, quality, HSE and cash-flow objectives.• Review project baselines, manpower plans, procurement strategies, engineering schedules, cash-flow forecasts and key commercial assumptions before implementation.• Monitor portfolio-level progress, productivity, cost-to-complete, billing, collections, variations, claims, procurement status and major risks; direct recovery actions where performance deviates.• Act as senior interface with clients, consultants, main contractors, authorities, strategic suppliers and subcontractors and lead resolution of high-impact technical/commercial issues.• Ensure robust design/technical governance, constructability reviews, value engineering, standardization and lessons learned across projects.• Drive timely procurement, subcontracting and resource deployment and resolve critical material, labour, logistics and specialist-subcontractor constraints.• Ensure compliance with company HSE and quality systems, contractual requirements and regulatory obligations; review major incidents, NCR trends and corrective actions.• Oversee testing, commissioning, handover, close-out, final accounts, DLP obligations and recovery of retention/final payments.• Develop departmental KPIs and management dashboards and present performance, forecasts, strategic risks and decisions required to executive management.• Build succession plans, mentor senior managers and strengthen technical/project-management capability through standards, coaching and performance management.• Support tender strategy, bid/no-bid decisions, preconstruction reviews and major commercial negotiations for new opportunities.REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; postgraduate management qualification is an advantage.• Minimum 20 years of progressive MEP construction experience, including senior leadership of major projects or a multi-project portfolio.• Proven delivery record on large-scale UAE/GCC developments such as high-rise towers, luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, healthcare or mixed-use projects.• Strong command of project management, MEP engineering, construction methodology, procurement, subcontracting, commissioning and close-out.• Strong commercial acumen covering budgeting, cash flow, cost control, variations, claims, payment recovery and contract risk.• Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and influence clients, consultants and senior stakeholders.• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements, international standards and integrated management systems.• PMP, chartership or equivalent senior professional certification is an advantage.
