Key ResponsibilitiesManage the design process from concept development through construction and project handover.Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure design integration and constructability.Review and monitor architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings to identify potential clashes and design issues.Lead design coordination meetings and ensure timely resolution of design-related matters.Review consultant submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation.Ensure compliance with client requirements, contract specifications, local regulations, and authority approvals.Collaborate closely with project management and site teams to support construction activities and resolve engineering challenges.Manage design deliverables and ensure adherence to approved project schedules.Monitor design changes and assess their impact on cost, quality, and project timelines.Support value engineering initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality.Liaise with government authorities and utility providers to obtain required approvals and permits.Maintain comprehensive records of design reviews, approvals, and revisions.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 10-15 years of experience in design management within the construction industry.Proven experience managing large-scale building projects, including high-rise, residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.Experience working with Tier-1 contractors in the UAE/GCC is preferred.Strong understanding of local authority regulations and approval processes.Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and stakeholder management skills.Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies and design coordination.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and MS Office applications.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing deadlines.Strong commercial awareness and risk management capabilities.
