ResponsibilitiesMission: The DCM Department is responsible for addressing borrowers’ needs in terms of raising and managing capital in the debt capital markets.The client base for DCM includes corporate borrowers, financial institutions, public sector and sovereigns, as well as non-investment grade (high yield) issuers globally.In terms of debt origination, DCM’s activity covers issuance of bonds of various kinds, including hybrid capital and liability management advisory. DCM’s activity also covers transaction management advisory.Tasks and responsibilities:To contribute to effectively covering clients to address their borrowing needs in debt capital marketsActively contribute to the coverage of Corporate, Financial and Sovereign clients based in CEEMEA region with focus on METATo contribute to developing and maintaining a track record of winning bond mandates in addressing clients’ borrowing needsSupport senior originators in achieving the team NBI budget and league table objectivesTo contribute to the effective and responsible execution of bond mandatesParticular attention shall be given to risk and compliance requirements, with a high degree of risk supervision on deals preparation and executionTo support the development of advisory and product offering in line with DCM’s strategy and prioritiesSupport and adapt DCM CEEMEA strategy which will evolve based on market and clients dynamics, as well as SG resources and constraintsTo support the development of the DCM client base in line with GLBA’s and SG Group’s strategy and prioritiesTo represent DCM in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide best-in-class advisory to the client baseMaintain at all time transparent and constructive relationship and interactions with Syndicate / GLBA/ CORI / PCRUs / MARK / JV partners / KYC & Compliance / Legal / partnersRequired Profile required Studies & experience:Graduate from a University or a School (Business and/or Engineer), with a specialization in Corporate FinanceMinimum 2 years’ experience in Debt Capital MarketsLanguage skills:Fluency in EnglishTechnical, operational & Soft skills:Understanding of the bond markets, its dynamics and the related instruments, including credit and rates derivatives to propose relevant capital markets solutionsCapacity to generate pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients’ needsResponsibility – awareness and understanding of risks (conduct, reputational, financial, etc.) for DCM, GLBA, and SG Group, and ability to act responsibly in line with SG Group Values, Code of Conduct, and other applicable rules & regulationsClient orientation – ability to contribute to the team’s efforts to build and maintain trusted client relationshipsClient orientation – consistency and rigour in following up on clients’ needsClient orientation – demonstrate initiative and team collaboration to develop business adapted to clients’ and markets’ needsInnovation – ability to contribute to the team’s efforts to the development of new client base, advisory, and productsTeam spirit – ability to work with people with diverse, international backgroundsCommitment – ability to prioritise tasks and to manage competing deadlines, and to deliver on team’s prioritiesCommunication skills – including language skills (as relevant) Why join us Société Générale Middle East is a multi-category bank offering every employee the possibility to have several careers in a professional career path.
