Position SummaryThe Operating CEO is responsible for leading the overall business operations, commercial performance, strategic execution, and organizational growth of the company. This role serves as the primary executive accountable for transforming vision into execution, ensuring operational excellence, achieving financial objectives, and building a scalable organization capable of sustained growth.The Operating CEO works closely with the Board of Directors, Founders, Investors, and Executive Leadership Team to establish strategic priorities, drive business performance, optimize resources, and create long-term shareholder value.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Business Growth* Develop, refine, and execute the company's strategic plans, annual operating plans, and long-term growth roadmap.* Translate organizational objectives into measurable business initiatives and operational priorities.* Identify emerging market trends, industry opportunities, and competitive threats to support informed decision-making.* Lead business expansion initiatives, new market entry strategies, and revenue diversification efforts.* Evaluate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, and investment opportunities.* Ensure alignment between corporate strategy, operational execution, and financial objectives.Business Operations Management* Provide leadership and oversight for all operational functions of the organization.* Establish scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and performance standards.* Drive operational efficiency, productivity improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.* Ensure seamless coordination across departments to achieve organizational goals.* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational controls.* Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions when required.* Lead organizational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.Financial Leadership & P&L Accountability* Maintain full accountability for the organization's Profit and Loss (P&L) performance.* Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans.* Monitor revenue performance, profitability, cash flow, and overall financial health.* Review financial reports and key business metrics to support strategic decisions.* Identify opportunities to improve margins, increase efficiency, and optimize resource utilization.* Ensure responsible financial stewardship and sustainable growth.* Present financial performance and business updates to the Board and investors.Commercial & Revenue Growth* Drive revenue generation strategies and ensure achievement of commercial targets.* Develop customer acquisition, retention, and business development initiatives.* Build strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.* Oversee pricing strategies, market positioning, and competitive differentiation.* Support sales and business development teams in securing major opportunities.* Monitor market performance and customer trends to identify growth opportunities.Leadership & Organizational Development* Build, develop, and retain high-performing leadership and functional teams.* Establish clear performance expectations and accountability frameworks.* Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, collaboration, and operational excellence.* Lead succession planning and leadership development initiatives.* Ensure organizational structure supports current and future business needs.* Champion employee engagement, talent development, and workforce planning initiatives.* Promote diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity practices throughout the organization.Corporate Governance & Compliance* Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.* Establish appropriate risk management and internal control frameworks.* Maintain ethical business practices and organizational integrity.* Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and statutory obligations.* Oversee business continuity and crisis management planning.* Lead enterprise risk identification, assessment, and mitigation initiatives.Stakeholder & Investor Management* Serve as the primary executive representative of the organization.* Build strong relationships with shareholders, investors, clients, regulators, and strategic partners.* Provide regular business updates and performance reports to the Board.* Facilitate investor communications and support fundraising activities when required.* Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and business forums.* Strengthen the company's reputation and market presence.Technology, Innovation & Digital Transformation* Promote innovation and technology adoption across the organization.* Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve business performance and scalability.* Evaluate emerging technologies and their Compliance Performance* Shareholder Value CreationQualifications & Experience* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.* MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.* Minimum 12–20 years of progressive leadership experience.* Proven experience managing business operations, growth, and organizational scaling.* Strong track record of P&L ownership and financial management.* Experience working with startups, venture-backed companies, technology businesses, consulting firms, financial institutions, or
