As a Chief Steward, you’re not just providing strategic oversight of all stewarding operations across the property – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.ResponsibilitiesHere's what you'll do during a typical day:Oversee inventory control: Lead daily coordination, distribution, storage and maintenance of essential items – including china, glassware, linen, and silver – ensuring accuracy and availability for all operationsEnsure proper equipment maintenance: Oversee the security, maintenance, and optimal functionality of all food service equipmentSet and enforce sanitation standards: Develop, implement, and oversee compliance with sanitation procedures to ensure all food and beverage areas meet the highest hygiene and safety regulationsOptimize department costs: Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving strategies to support operational efficiency and profitability while maintaining quality standardsInspire and develop the team: Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build, retain, and engage a high-performing teamUphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeingQualificationsWhat It Takes to Make the StayAt Hilton, Our Core Values Define What It Takes To Succeed Here And Guide The Qualities We Look For In Every Team MemberA passion for spreading the light and warmth of Hospitality.
