WE ARE HIRING | Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Secondary Systems (Protection & Control)📍 Location: Dubai, UAE🏢 POWERCHINA JEPCC – Middle East & Africa Regional HeadquartersPOWERCHINA JEPCC is expanding its engineering team in Dubai and is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Secondary Systems (Protection & Control) to support our international Substation and Power EPC projects across the Middle East and Africa.We are particularly interested in candidates with strong hands-on experience in HV/EHV Substation Secondary Design, Protection & Control Engineering and international EPC projects.Key Responsibilities• Perform secondary engineering and detailed design for HV/EHV substations.• Prepare and review Protection & Control Schematics, AC/DC Schematics, Interlocking Logic, Wiring Diagrams and Panel Drawings.• Prepare I/O Lists, Cable Schedules, Interconnection Diagrams, Equipment Lists and other secondary engineering documentation.• Carry out engineering and design coordination for Protection, Control, Metering and Substation Automation Systems.• Support protection relay engineering and coordinate technical requirements for relay protection systems.• Support engineering activities for IEC 61850-based substation automation and communication systems.• Review vendor drawings, technical documents, equipment submissions and engineering deliverables.• Coordinate closely with Primary Design, SCADA & Telecom, Civil and other engineering disciplines.• Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, testing and commissioning stages.• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, client requirements and applicable international standards.Candidate Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in Substation Secondary Design / Protection & Control Engineering.• Strong hands-on design experience with HV/EHV substations, preferably including 132kV, 220kV and/or 400kV systems.• Strong knowledge of Protection & Control systems, relay protection, AC/DC systems and secondary engineering design.• Good understanding of IEC 61850 and relevant IEC/international standards.• Experience working with an international EPC contractor, engineering consultancy or major power utility is strongly preferred.• UAE / GCC substation project experience is highly preferred.• Previous experience with TAQA / TRANSCO / DEWA or other major GCC utilities will be a strong advantage.• International EPC experience across the Middle East and/or Africa is preferred.• Good English communication and multidisciplinary engineering coordination skills.Location PreferenceCandidates currently based in Dubai / UAE are strongly preferred.Priority will be given to candidates who are currently available in the UAE and able to attend a face-to-face interview in Dubai.How to Apply📩 Email your updated CV to:abiya-jxdj@powerchina.cn or pengfeifei-jxdj@powerchina.cn📱 Contact / WhatsApp:+971 50 536 3707Please mention “Secondary Design Engineer – P&C” in your application.
