Currie & Brown is looking to recruit a Commercial Manager for a mixed-use development project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.Responsibilities will include:Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clientsManaging, leading and co-ordinating a team of cost, contracts and commercial managers within a live project environmentAnalysing project data efficientlySetting up and managing workshops to achieve the required cost savingsProviding ad-hoc high-level strategic proposals as requiredDelivering projects, commissions and professional assignmentsMaintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for successful project completion; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial controlUndertaking commercial management services with limited supervisionDelivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely mannerRepresenting the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to maintain strong working relationshipsRequirements:BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalenta Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered SurveyorsA minimum of 10-15 years’ technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancyPre and post-contract experienceExperience of working in variety of sectors and projects in the Middle East regionExperience of providing advice and administering on contractual mattersExperience of managing and leading commercial and contracts management teams within a live project environmentGood technical writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external)Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astuteA team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexibleAt Currie & Brown, we know that when it comes to a good idea, it doesn't matter where it comes from.
