Management Accountant | Finance | Abu DhabiAre you a chartered accountant who enjoys working closely with the business and turning numbers into clear, useful insight? We would love to hear from you.At Euro Mechanical, Finance is a true business partner to our Operations teams. As our Management Accountant, you will support a defined Business Unit, help leaders understand what is driving performance, and play a real part in the decisions that shape our projects. It is a fast-paced, collaborative environment with genuine room to learn and grow.What you will doAct as a finance business partner to your Business Unit(s), building strong and trusted relationships between Operations and FinancePrepare monthly Business Unit management accounts and present them to key stakeholders, in line with IFRS, local accounting and tax requirements, and internal policiesDeliver gross margin analysis, compare results to budget, and flag upside and downside risks earlyProvide clear insight into Business Unit performance through effective KPIsPrepare quarterly and ad hoc forecasts, and the annual budget to net profit with a supporting analysis packEvaluate investment proposals and support hire-versus-buy decisions with financial and commercial analysisApply sound knowledge of import and export processes, including documentation and Incoterms, and assess their financial and commercial impactProvide weekly cashflow analysis of receivables and payables, and lead the weekly customer collection review meetings through to completion of actionsReport regularly on ICV status, including the improvement plan, current score and retention balancesSupport project accounting and profitability reportingPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with the financial reporting calendarMaintain process notes and control documents, and follow best practice, financial standards, internal controls and governanceReview and sign off relevant journals and sales invoices prepared within the teamSupport periodic inventory and fixed asset counts, which may take place outside usual working hoursWhat you will bringA globally recognised chartered accounting qualificationAt least 3 years of operational finance experience, ideally in the Energy or Construction sectorsProject accounting experience (preferred)Confident use of Excel and the Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Dynamics 365 (an advantage)An analytical, problem-solving mindset and a strong sense of organisationIntegrity, discretion and a genuine desire to collaborateA self-starter attitude, with a keen interest to keep developing your skills and knowledgeWhy join usYou will work with experienced Finance and Operations colleagues, report to our Finance Lead with functional reporting to the CFO, and gain wide exposure across projects, Business Units and senior stakeholders.
