We are seeking a skilled and technically experienced Power Systems Engineer / Battery Storage Engineer to design, develop, analyze, and optimize electrical power systems and battery energy storage solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering design, system integration, technical evaluation, testing, and commissioning while ensuring system reliability, safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, analyze, and develop electrical power systems, energy storage systems, and related engineering solutions.Perform power system studies, including load flow analysis, short-circuit analysis, protection coordination, and stability assessments.Design and evaluate Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including battery capacity, system configuration, and energy management solutions.Develop electrical single-line diagrams, technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.Evaluate battery technologies, inverters, power conversion systems (PCS), transformers, and associated electrical equipment.Support the integration of battery storage systems with renewable energy sources, power grids, and existing electrical infrastructure.Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, system simulations, and performance evaluations.Coordinate with project managers, consultants, suppliers, contractors, and other engineering teams.Oversee equipment installation, system testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance verification.Monitor system performance, energy efficiency, battery health, and operational reliability.Identify technical risks and implement appropriate engineering solutions and corrective measures.Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements, engineering standards, and quality specifications.Prepare technical reports, design calculations, project documentation, and progress updates.Research emerging power technologies, battery innovations, and energy storage solutions to support continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience in power systems, electrical engineering, renewable energy, or battery energy storage projects, depending on seniority.Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, power distribution, transmission, and protection systems.Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), battery technologies, energy management systems (EMS), and power conversion systems is preferred.Familiarity with lithium-ion battery technologies, battery management systems (BMS), inverters, and grid integration.Experience using engineering software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent.Ability to interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering calculations.Good understanding of electrical safety, system reliability, testing, and commissioning procedures.Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, and project coordination skills.Excellent communication, teamwork, and technical reporting abilities.Professional engineering certifications or relevant industry qualifications are an advantage.Excellent written and spoken English.
