Product Design Lead / Head of Product DesignLocation: Dubai, UAEThe role may be scoped at Lead or Head level depending on the experience of the person appointed.About the companyWe’re a growing technology-led homeownership business making the process of buying and owning a home simpler through digital products, expert guidance, and greater transparency.Our services span mortgage solutions, homebuying support, conveyancing, finance, and partner platforms, with an expanding presence in the Saudi market. We’re building a smarter, faster, and more accessible homeownership experience.The roleWe’re looking for a Product Design Lead to raise the bar on product quality across our growing range of services and platforms. As our product surface area expands, we need someone who can bring cohesion, clarity, and strong design principles to everything we build.You’ll lead and grow the design function while staying hands-on with high-impact work. You’ll shape complex workflows, improve service experiences, evolve our design system, and bring strong UX thinking into discovery and delivery.This role combines design craft with leadership. You’ll define what great product design looks like, help teams deliver consistently, and work closely with Product and Engineering to make better experience decisions.If you care about quality, simplicity, and building systems that scale thoughtfully, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.What you’ll ownDefine and implement UX principles and design standards across our products and platforms.Own the evolution and governance of the design system.Design high-impact, complex workflows across critical user experiences.Improve the end-to-end service experience, beyond individual screens.Partner with Product and Engineering on discovery, usability validation, and delivery quality.Introduce structured user research and usability testing practices.Reduce design sprawl and improve consistency across web, internal tools, and mobile products.Establish scalable practices for design reviews, critique, and documentation.Support the growth of the design function through mentoring and, as the team grows, hiring.What we’re looking for6+ years of experience in product design, including experience leading or mentoring designers.A track record of raising design quality and establishing strong standards across teams.Strong end-to-end UX skills across research, interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking.Experience designing complex internal tools, operational systems, or workflows.The ability to design service experiences across the full customer lifecycle, not just individual screens.A systems-oriented approach and the ability to make complex experiences clear without oversimplifying them.Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems.Comfort balancing hands-on design work with team leadership and hiring.Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions to Product and Engineering partners.The ability to work with ownership in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Bonus experienceExperience in fintech, proptech, marketplaces, or other high-consideration transactions.Experience designing for bilingual English and Arabic markets.Familiarity with user research frameworks and structured usability testing.Experience helping a design team grow from an early stage.Why this role mattersAs the business grows across markets, teams, and product surfaces, maintaining a clear and consistent experience becomes more important—and more challenging.
