Role DescriptionAn Information Technology Director is responsible for leading IT strategy, technology operations, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and IT teams. The role ensures technology supports business objectives, security, reliability, and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement IT strategies, policies, and technology plans.Lead IT operations, infrastructure, applications, and technical services.Manage IT teams, budgets, resources, vendors, and technology projects.Oversee networks, servers, cloud platforms, systems, and business applications.Ensure IT systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and available.Lead cybersecurity, access control, data protection, and risk management.Manage IT projects, upgrades, system implementations, and technology improvements.Monitor IT performance, service levels, incidents, and operational KPIs.Evaluate new technologies and recommend suitable business solutions.Manage IT vendors, contracts, service providers, and technology partners.Develop disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and applicable regulations.Control IT budgets, costs, procurement, and technology investments.Prepare IT reports, forecasts, performance updates, and management recommendations.Lead, develop, and support continuous improvement across IT operations.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Extensive experience in IT management and senior technology leadership.Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud, systems, and applications.Experience managing IT teams, budgets, projects, and technology vendors.Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, and IT risk management.Experience with AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, ERP, CRM, or enterprise systems is advantageous.Knowledge of IT governance, service management, and business continuity.Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.Experience with IT project management and digital transformation.CIO, ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or related certification is advantageous.UAE/GCC technology and regulatory experience is preferred.Professional, strategic, organized, proactive, and results-oriented.
