Head of Data – FinTech | DubaiWe’re working with a fast-growing FinTech business in Dubai looking to appoint a Head of Data to build and lead its data function as the company continues to scale.This is a broad leadership role covering the full data landscape — Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering and Analytics — with responsibility for building the team, strategy and technical foundations behind a highly data-driven product.What you’ll own:• Build and lead the Data Science, ML, Data Engineering and Analytics functions• Define the overall data strategy, architecture and technical roadmap• Develop and productionise ML models that directly impact the product and customer experience• Build scalable data platforms, pipelines and infrastructure• Establish strong analytics, reporting and experimentation capabilities• Work closely with Product, Engineering and senior leadership on data-driven product development• Hire, mentor and scale a high-performing multidisciplinary data team• Take ownership of data quality, governance and reliability as the business growsWhat we’re looking for:• Strong technical background across Data Science / Machine Learning and Data Engineering• Experience leading multidisciplinary data teams• Track record of taking ML/data products from development into production• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, architecture and analytics• Ideally experience within FinTech, digital banking, payments, lending, credit or financial services• Strong preference for candidates who have worked within start-up or scale-up environments and understand what it takes to build a data function from the ground up
