Senior FPGA Designer – Software Defined RadioLocation: Abu Dhabi, UAEWorking Pattern: On siteType: PermanentSalary: Dependent on experienceRelocation: Open to candidates relocating — international applicants welcomeCompany: Tektora, supporting an established defence technology clientTektora are supporting an established defence technology client building software-defined radio products in Abu Dhabi, and are looking to speak with experienced FPGA designers for their hardware systems team.This role is open to relocation. The client is actively considering candidates from outside the UAE and will support the move for the right person.This role would suit an FPGA engineer who wants to own a design outright — from study and simulation through to implementation, timing closure and test — on radio products rather than generic digital hardware.The RoleYou Will Be Involved InDesigning, simulating, coding and verifying FPGA projects for software-defined radio applicationsDeveloping and optimising digital signal processing algorithms in fabricCarrying out timing analysis on large, high-speed FPGA designsOwning complex VHDL and Verilog projects end to end, including the documentationDriving projects from study and simulation through implementation to testSupporting the evaluation and introduction of control boards and platformsOccasional troubleshooting and support on customer projectsContributing to how the team develops, not just what it deliversKey Experience Required10+ years of relevant hands-on experienceProven track record in VHDL or Verilog for FPGAScripting in Tcl and BashBSc or higher in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or similarDesirable ExperiencePythonHands-on with RF test equipmentEmbedded devicesSoftware-defined radio, DSP or another RF-adjacent domainInterested?Tektora are looking to speak with experienced FPGA designers from a radio or RF background who are open to relocating to Abu Dhabi.Please apply with your CV and we will be in touch to discuss the opportunity, the package and the relocation support in more detail.
