Position DetailsPositionAsset Integrity Inspector DepartmentIND Division Reporting toTeam Leader – Project/Local Operations Key Working RelationshipIndustry ManagerTeam LeaderInspection CoordinatorAdministration TeamCustomers / ClientsMinimum Required QualificationsSpecialty Sound Knowledge in Mechanical/Structural Engineering, Pressure Equipment, or Asset Integrity Management EducationDegree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field Training / AwarenessAPI 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector) or API 570 (Piping Inspector) or API 653 (Storage Tank Inspector) – as applicable to assignment Technical knowledgeAPI certification; HSE awareness; Asset integrity fundamentals ExperienceMinimum 5 years in asset integrity inspection, pressure equipment inspection, or similar role in Oil & Gas or Power sectorsResponsibilities / Authorities / AccountabilitiesPrimary FunctionsConduct comprehensive inspections and integrity assessments of pressure vessels, piping systems, storage tanks, and related equipment in Oil & Gas and Power installationsEnsure strict adherence to API standards (510, 570, 653), ASME codes, and relevant regulatory requirementsInspect pressure equipment, welds, corrosion protection systems, and structural integrityVerify correct application of installation, fabrication, maintenance, and repair techniques per API guidelinesReview and validate technical documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection reports, and equipment history recordsWitness functional tests, pressure tests, and non-destructive examinations (NDT) to confirm asset integrity complianceIdentify and report non-conformities (NCRs) and track corrective action implementationEnsure traceability and certification of all inspected equipmentCollaborate with engineers, HSE, QA/QC teams, and regulatory authorities to maintain safety and quality standardsCompile detailed inspection reports, findings documentation, and compliance records for clients and regulatory review Technical ExpertiseIn-depth knowledge of Oil & Gas and Power equipment design, fabrication, and operationStrong technical judgment in asset condition assessmentFamiliarity with API inspection procedures and risk-based inspection (RBI) methodologiesUnderstanding of manufacturing, fabrication, and maintenance processesKnowledge of QSP procedures for conducting surveillance inspections Business RequirementsReport to Team Leader about day to day inspection Self ManagementExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under time constraints and pressureStrong leadership and decision-making capabilitiesAbility to develop collaborative relationships with contractors and customer teamsPlanning, organizing, and monitoring capabilities Customer FocusCoordinating and managing inspections with different level of people from different parties such as Clients, Sub-contractors, Yard Departments and Regulatory Authorities.To work under pressure and extreme climatic conditions to meet project requirementsTo complete given jobs on time with highest quality and safety standards with no incident or accident.HSE RequirementsAuthorized to stop work if condition, situation, environment…etc. is not safe to perform the activity (immediately inform to reporting person in the department for further guidance, if this authority is used).Accountable to take care of own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what can do or cannot do. Accountable for co-operating with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for health, safety or welfare.Perform his duties in safe environment and respond to emergency situations as required by local procedures.Submittal of required reports within time frame / as assignedComply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Dubai HSE Policies, procedures and practices. Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/ QHSE Manager Reporting all incidents / Near Miss reporting as well as taking action whenever any unsafe act or condition is observed.Responsible for giving feedback on HSE issues for improvement as part of participation and consultation requirement.Report immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.Report immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigationUse appropriate PPE in the work area and be aware of: the risks appropriate PPE will control or minimizeReport immediately in case the PPE is worn off or lost.Communicate with their immediate manager any unsafe work practice or condition and opportunities for improvement of HSE practices.Performance Monitoring Continual DevelopmentStay updated on API standards, asset integrity developments, and regulatory changes KPIsInspction done in allocated time frameQuality of reportTime taken to deliver the report Monitored ByTeam Leader / Operation Manager
