This role combines advanced technical mixology skills with leadership, training, and operational discipline.As the senior authority for cocktails and bar execution, the Head Mixologist supports menu development, service standards, team capability, and innovation while remaining actively involved in service.Key ResponsibilitiesBeverage Quality & Menu ExecutionOwn the execution and consistency of the cocktail and beverage menuEnsure all drinks are prepared to approved recipes, specifications, and presentation standardsSupport development and rollout of seasonal cocktails and beverage activationsBar Leadership & TrainingLead and mentor bartenders and barbacks during serviceSet technical standards for mixology, speed, and presentationDeliver on-the-job training and skills development for the bar teamService Delivery & Guest ExperienceActively lead bar service during peak trading periodsEngage with guests, provide recommendations, and deliver a premium bar experienceSupport service recovery and guest feedback management at the barOperational Controls & DisciplineEnsure cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene across bar stations and storageSupport stock control, portioning discipline, and waste reductionEnsure compliance with licensing, health, and safety standardsKPIs & Success MetricsCocktail quality and consistencySpeed and efficiency of bar serviceGuest satisfaction at the barTeam capability and training progressWaste reduction and portion controlCandidate Requirements4–6 years’ experience in cocktail-led bar environmentsStrong technical knowledge of classic and modern mixologyProven leadership and training capabilityCalm, confident presence during high-volume serviceStrong communication and guest engagement skills
