We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Structural Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience, specializing in High-Speed Rail (HSR) projects, major transit infrastructure, complex station buildings, and heavy civil structures. In this role, you will lead structural design, advanced engineering calculations, technical compliance, and structural interface coordination across HSR stations, elevated structures, maintenance depots, bridges/viaducts, and associated rail facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Engineering Design & Delivery: Lead the structural engineering design for HSR stations, elevated viaducts, bridge structures, deep foundations, maintenance depots, and operation control centers (OCC) from preliminary concept through detailed design and final construction issue.Structural Analysis & Calculations: Perform and review complex 3D finite element analysis (FEA), structural calculations for concrete and steel structures, foundation design, lateral load resisting systems, and seismic/dynamic loading under high-speed rail operations.Interface & Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Drive structural design integration with civil alignment, architectural designs, MEP, trackwork, catenary support systems, station loading requirements, and geotechnical engineers.BIM, Detailing & Quality Control: Supervise the development of 3D structural BIM models (Revit Structural/Tekla) and construction drawings, enforcing strict quality assurance, spatial clearance, and structural clash resolution.Codes & Technical Governance: Ensure full compliance of all structural elements with relevant structural codes (Eurocodes, ACI, AISC, BS, AREMA), life safety parameters (NFPA 130), and sustainability frameworks (LEED/Estidama/GSAS).Construction Supervision Support & QA/QC: Resolve technical queries (RFIs), evaluate contractor structural submittals, review shop drawings/bar bending schedules (BBS), and conduct site inspections for reinforced concrete pours, post-tensioning, and structural steel erection.Key RequirementsExperience: 7 to 10 years of structural engineering design experience, with a proven track record on major transport infrastructure, HSR, metro stations, elevated guideway/viaduct structures, or large-scale public buildings.Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (B.Sc / M.Sc / M.Eng) from an accredited university. Chartered Engineer (CEng / MIStructE) or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) status is strongly preferred.Technical Skills & Software:Expert proficiency in structural design and analysis software: ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, and RAM Structural.Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structural BIM), Navisworks, AutoCAD, and FEA tools (e.g., Robot Structural Analysis, MIDAS, or Plaxis for soil-structure interaction).Standards & Codes: Extensive knowledge of international design standards (Eurocodes, ACI 318, AISC 360, AREMA, AASHTO LRFD), rail dynamics/vibration criteria, and NFPA 130 guidelines.GCC / UAE Experience: Prior design office or project delivery experience in the GCC region, including familiarity with local municipal authority approvals and regional climate design factors, is highly desirable.
