markets.Our teams collaborate across Retail Operations, Store Management, Security, Finance, Inventory, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Legal, Technology, and external security partners to identify risks, prevent losses, investigate incidents, and continuously improve retail controls.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Retail Loss Prevention Manager to lead loss-prevention strategy, retail security, inventory-loss reduction, fraud prevention, investigations, operational controls, and risk-management programs across stores and retail operations.The ideal candidate will develop proactive loss-prevention programs, analyze shrinkage and incident data, identify vulnerabilities, manage investigations, strengthen store controls, coordinate security resources, and work with cross-functional teams to reduce financial and operational losses while maintaining a positive customer and employee experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive retail loss-prevention strategies aligned with business, operational, security, and financial objectives.Establish loss-prevention policies, standards, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks.Develop annual loss-prevention plans based on shrinkage trends, risk assessments, business priorities, and operational requirements.Analyze retail shrinkage, inventory losses, fraud, theft, operational errors, and security incidents.Identify patterns and root causes of internal and external losses across stores, regions, products, processes, and channels.Establish risk-based loss-prevention programs for stores, distribution centers, warehouses, offices, and other retail facilities.Conduct regular store and operational risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and control gaps.Develop and maintain loss-prevention standards covering opening, closing, cash handling, receiving, storage, merchandising, transfers, returns, refunds, and inventory processes.Review store layouts, merchandise placement, access points, high-value product controls, and security measures.Establish appropriate controls for high-risk products, high-value merchandise, and sensitive inventory.Monitor inventory shrinkage and investigate significant variances, unexplained losses, and recurring discrepancies.Partner with Inventory and Supply Chain teams to identify loss risks throughout receiving, storage, transportation, transfer, and delivery processes.Investigate suspected shoplifting, employee theft, organized retail crime, fraud, collusion, refund abuse, discount abuse, and other loss events.Lead or support investigations into internal and external incidents in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.Establish investigation procedures covering evidence collection, documentation, interviews, case management, escalation, and closure.Maintain confidential investigation records and ensure appropriate handling of sensitive information.Coordinate with Human Resources and Legal teams on employee-related investigations and disciplinary matters.Coordinate with law enforcement and relevant authorities when required and legally appropriate.Maintain relationships with external security providers, investigation specialists, technology vendors, and other loss-prevention partners.Manage security guard services, monitoring providers, investigation firms, and other external security resources.Define service-level expectations, operating standards, reporting requirements, and performance measures for security vendors.Monitor vendor performance, staffing levels, incident response, patrol effectiveness, and compliance with contractual requirements.Evaluate and implement CCTV, video analytics, electronic article surveillance, access control, alarm systems, body-worn cameras, and other security technologies where appropriate.Coordinate with Technology and IT teams on security-system integration, system availability, access controls, data retention, and technical support.Review CCTV footage and security-system data during investigations and risk assessments where authorized.Develop proactive surveillance and monitoring strategies based on identified loss risks.Establish controls for point-of-sale systems, refunds, voids, discounts, price overrides, gift cards, cash transactions, and other high-risk retail activities.Analyze POS and transaction data to identify unusual patterns, suspicious activity, and potential fraud.Coordinate with Finance and Internal Audit teams to strengthen financial and operational controls.Develop fraud-prevention programs covering payment fraud, refund fraud, loyalty-program abuse, gift-card fraud, promotion abuse, and other relevant risks.Monitor online and omnichannel loss risks, including e-commerce fraud, click-and-collect, returns, delivery, account abuse, and fulfillment-related losses.Work with e-commerce, Customer Experience, Digital, and Fulfillment teams to identify and mitigate omnichannel loss risks.Establish procedures for managing suspicious customer behavior while maintaining professional and respectful customer interactions.Ensure loss-prevention practices are consistent with customer-service standards and applicable privacy requirements.Develop and deliver loss-prevention awareness programs for store managers, employees, security teams, and operational personnel.Train employees on theft prevention, fraud awareness, incident reporting, emergency procedures, evidence preservation, and operational controls.Conduct store visits, compliance reviews, security inspections, and loss-prevention audits.Identify control weaknesses and develop corrective and preventive action plans.Track corrective actions through closure and verify that improvements are implemented effectively.Monitor compliance with loss-prevention policies, security procedures, cash controls, inventory controls, and operational standards.Establish incident-escalation and emergency-response procedures for theft, violence, threats, suspicious activity, and other serious security events.Coordinate with Security, Store Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and senior management during serious incidents.Develop
