Educators at MAIS join a diverse, collaborative community focused on continuous improvement and student success.Role Description The Computer Science Teacher will deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in computer science to K–12 learners, aligned with the American curriculum and school policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and teaching lessons, designing and assessing projects and examinations, integrating technology into classroom activities, and differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum initiatives, participate in professional development, communicate regularly with families about student progress, and contribute to extracurricular or enrichment activities as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based at The Modern American INT. PVT. School in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong knowledge in Computer Science and related disciplines.Candidates should possess skills in Computer Science Education and effective Lesson Planning.Candidates should possess abilities in Curriculum Development and integrating Mathematics where appropriate.Candidates should possess excellent classroom management, instructional, and assessment skills.Candidates should possess strong communication, collaboration, and intercultural competencies in a diverse school environment.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Science Education, Information Technology, or a related field; teaching credential or license is preferred.Prior experience teaching computer science or related subjects in a K–12 setting, preferably within an American or international curriculum.Comfort with educational technology tools, learning management systems, and project-based learning methodologies.Teaching certification or equivalent qualification is required.A teaching diploma.UAE Equivalency.
