We're Hiring | Specialist Retina Surgeon📍 Location: Abu Dhabi💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeA leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Retina Surgeon to join its ophthalmology department. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and managing complex retinal and vitreoretinal disorders, performing advanced retinal surgical procedures, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered ophthalmic care.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage retinal and vitreoretinal diseases, including retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, and macular disordersPerform advanced vitreoretinal surgical procedures, including pars plana vitrectomy and retinal detachment repairConduct comprehensive retinal examinations and develop individualized treatment plansInterpret diagnostic investigations, including OCT, fundus photography, and fluorescein angiographyPerform intravitreal injections and retinal laser treatments as clinically indicatedManage retinal vascular disorders, macular degeneration, and vitreous hemorrhageProvide preoperative assessments, surgical planning, and postoperative follow-up careIdentify and manage surgical complications and ophthalmic emergenciesCollaborate with ophthalmologists and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient careMaintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policiesParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical educationRequirementsQualifications & RequirementsMBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical qualificationRecognized postgraduate specialization in OphthalmologyFellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Vitreoretinal SurgeryValid DOH Specialist License or Eligibility Letter, or eligibility to obtain oneRelevant post-qualification and vitreoretinal surgical experience in accordance with UAE PQR requirementsDemonstrated proficiency in advanced retinal diagnostic and surgical proceduresExcellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient management skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageModern ophthalmology facilities equipped with advanced retinal diagnostic and surgical technologiesSupportive and collaborative multidisciplinary working environmentOpportunities for professional development and career advancementExposure to a diverse patient population and complex retinal casesImportant Note for ApplicantsIf you have already submitted your CV to Astra Promed FZC , please do not reapply for the same or other advertised positions.
