This is an applied academic role suited to candidates who combine strong technical expertise with practical industry experience, teaching capability, and an interest in applied research and innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver undergraduate courses in cybersecurity, information security, networking, software security, programming, and related computing disciplines.Develop and deliver practical, hands-on learning experiences, including laboratories, projects, simulations, case studies, and industry-based activities.Develop and continuously improve course materials, assessments, laboratory environments, and technical learning resources.Supervise student capstone projects, applied research projects, and industry-oriented technical projects.Contribute to professional and specialized cybersecurity training programs for government and industry partners.Participate in applied research, publications, research grants, industry-funded projects, and collaborative research initiatives.Build and maintain industry and government partnerships to enhance student learning, applied research, training, and graduate employability.Support curriculum development, accreditation, quality assurance, and continuous program improvement, including ABET, CAA, and outcome-based education requirements.Contribute to innovation initiatives, student competitions, professional certification programs, and departmental projects.Participate in academic and departmental activities, including student mentoring, academic advising, committee work, and other responsibilities assigned by the Division.Preferred Areas of ExpertiseCandidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:Cybersecurity & Information SecuritySecurity Operations / SOCNetwork SecurityPenetration Testing and Ethical HackingDigital Forensics and Incident ResponseThreat IntelligenceMalware AnalysisVulnerability AssessmentSecurity ArchitectureCloud SecurityZero TrustSoftware & Emerging TechnologiesSecure Software EngineeringApplication SecurityProgramming and ScriptingAI/ML for CybersecurityData AnalyticsIoT SecurityEmbedded Systems SecurityBlockchain and Emerging Security TechnologiesQualificationsAssistant Professor: PhD in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an internationally recognized university.Instructor: Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an internationally recognized university., with relevant academic and/or industry experience.Equivalency from MOHE if graduated from abroad.Demonstrated experience in higher education teaching, technical training, laboratory-based learning, or professional cybersecurity training.Strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience with relevant cybersecurity technologies, tools, and platforms.Experience in applied research, technical projects, industry collaboration, or cybersecurity training programs is highly desirable.For Assistant Professor applicants, a record of research publications and/or applied research is preferred.Relevant industry experience and professional engagement in cybersecurity or related fields will be an advantage.Preferred Professional CertificationsRelevant professional certifications are highly desirable, including:CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, CHFI, DFECompTIA Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, Network+, Cloud+GIAC certificationsCisco CCNA / CCNP SecurityPalo Alto Networks and Fortinet certificationsMicrosoft, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud security certificationsPython PCEP, PCAP, PCPPOracle SQL DeveloperExperience: A minimum of 3 years teaching experience after the terminal degree.IELTS Academic Band Score 7 Mandatory
