Job SummaryThe Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for leading and managing the design process from concept to completion. This role involves collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors to create aesthetically pleasing, functional, and innovative interior spaces. Responsibilities also include mentoring other designers, ensuring design integrity, and delivering projects on time and within budget.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing design capabilities.Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Rendering Software.Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and sustainable design practices.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Skilled in multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.Creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.Experience working on large-scale projects, demonstrating the ability to manage complex design challenges and deliver successful outcomes on time and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesJob responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the below:Guide the interior design process from the pre-concept stage through completion, ensuring alignment with client goals, project requirements and timeline.Develop and present design concepts and solutions that address client vision and requirements, including mood boards, sketches, and digital renderings.Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D models to illustrate design ideas, ensuring efficient use of space and adherence to building codes and regulations.Incorporate feedback from clients and team members into design revisions, ensuring that all changes align with the project’s goals and standards.Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction and installation, ensuring precision and accuracy.Implement quality control procedures to ensure that all design elements are executed to the highest standards.Choose appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and colour palettes, ensuring they meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary requirements.Work closely with architects, engineers, and other consultants to integrate interior designs with overall building designs and systems.Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards while maintain design integrity and uphold quality standards throughout the project.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their vision, preferences, and requirements.Conduct client presentations, effectively communicating design ideas and concepts.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.Guide junior designers, providing feedback and support to enhance their skills and professional growth.Encourage a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging innovation and excellence in designConduct site visits and inspections to ensure design implementation aligns with approved plans.Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies and participate in industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance professional development and network with peers.Preferred QualificationsExperience in large-scale projects, healthcare, residential, and commercial design projects.Familiarity with sustainable design practices and materials.Ability to network and build relationships within the industry.Work EnvironmentThe Senior Interior Designer shall work in the head office; but may be required to visit project sites. The role involves collaboration with various departments and external partners, requiring effective communication and teamwork skills.
