Company DescriptionDiscover the warm hospitality of Sofitel Dubai The Palm, a luxurious 5-star beachfront resort nested on the East Crescent of the renowned Palm Jumeirah.Nestled amongst lush greenery on the idyllic shores of the Arabian Gulf, Sofitel Dubai The Palm offers a tropical and relaxing sanctuary, only a short distance away from the vibrant, buzzing metropolis of Dubai.With touches of French elegance interlaced throughout the resort, we invite guests to enjoy an environment “Where life lives” and indulge in excellence.The resort comprises of 360 contemporary guest rooms and suites, 182 serviced apartments, 4 ultra-luxury villas, Sofitel Spa with L’Occitane, Fitness Centre, Kids Club and offers a large variety of dining options with 7 restaurants, 5 bars, and lounges.Job DescriptionConsistently offer a professional, engaging and friendly serviceEnsure the cleanliness of guest rooms, colleague service areas & corridors while adhering to hotel standardsMaking beds, changing sheets and towelsCleaning washroom facilities including toilets, bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, floors, bathroom fixtures and others as assignedVacuuming floors, draperies and upholstered furnitureDusting of furniture and fixturesStock guest room amenitiesRemoval and sorting of linen, garbage and recyclingAssist guests with concerns and requests in a timely mannerPlacing furniture to its original position and being attentive to the guests belongings by pairing shoes, folding clothes and ensuring that all other personal belongings are cared for.Comply with all department policies, procedures, and service standardsFollow and proactively promote all health and safety policies and initiativesReport all concerns related to Engineering/Maintenance, health and safety, security or suspicious circumstances (including smells/sights and sound)Responsible for the assistance in maintaining a clean and organized backspace and housekeeping cart.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsYour experience and skillset includes:Warm and caring personalityAbility to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcomingExcellent organizational skills and time managementAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervisionNo formal education/experience requiredPrior cleaning experience an assetPhysically fit as you will be standing and walking throughout shiftAbility to work well under pressureAble to bend and kneel with comfortHousekeeping is a very physically demanding position.
