About Vibes EventsVibes Events is an Abu Dhabi-based events staffing company delivering large-scale events, activations, and staffing solutions across the UAE and the region. We work with some of the most prominent organisations in the public and private sectors, bringing together a passionate team of professionals committed to excellence in every project we deliver.About the RoleVibes Events is looking for a research-driven and proactive Executive to join our Government & Strategic Relationships (GSR) function. You will support the GSR Director in building and maintaining a well-qualified pipeline of government and semi-government opportunities through market intelligence, tender monitoring, and business development support. The role also keeps Vibes close to its clients and the events market, through client follow-up, event and exhibition visits, and won and lost business reporting.Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (some travel to Dubai and other Emirates)Reporting To: Director, Government & Strategic RelationshipsWorking Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday (alternate Saturdays off)Flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends based on business requirementWhat You’ll DoResearch & Market IntelligenceResearch new projects and opportunities across the UAE government and semi-government landscape, and monitor market developments that may create opportunities for VibesMaintain an up-to-date calendar of recurring and newly announced events, exhibitions, conferences, and festivals, including organiser, venue, dates, and known client connectionsReview daily quotations issued and projects lost, flagging opportunities that need GSR support and informing the Commercial Projects Team early on recurring events and previous clientsTender Monitoring & Business Development SupportTrack and monitor relevant RFPs, RFQs, and tenders for government, semi-government, and strategic clients, and add new opportunities to the pipelineSupport client hunting alongside the Director, GSR; identify potential clients, sectors, exhibitors, and production companies with strong potential for future businessTrack each opportunity through every stage, from introduction and meeting through to quotation, follow-up, outcome, and next actionClient Relationships & Event VisitsSupport the Director, GSR in strengthening relationships with key clients through calls, meetings, and onsite visits; maintain client tiering and reconnect with inactive clientsPlan and carry out regular visits to key events and exhibitions at ADNEC, DWTC, DEC, and other UAE venues, gathering client feedback, competitor observations, and new opportunitiesCRM, Reporting & AdministrationMaintain accurate records in HubSpot, the government target database, and the GSR opportunity trackerPrepare the monthly GSR Won and Lost Report and the biweekly GSR review for the Chief Commercial Officer, and provide administrative support to the GSR functionWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field3–6 years of experience in research, business development support, or a related coordination roleStrong research and analytical skills with close attention to detail, and good Excel and reporting skills for tracking opportunities and preparing reportsOrganised and proactive, comfortable managing multiple opportunities and tenders at the same timeConfident and professional when meeting clients, organisers, and exhibitors, in person and by phoneFluent English (written and spoken); Arabic language skills are an advantageInterest in or exposure to the UAE government and semi-government sector; knowledge of the UAE events and exhibitions landscape (ADNEC, DWTC, DEC) and CRM experience (HubSpot or similar) are advantageousValid UAE driving licence, for regular site and event visits
