Your new companyYou will be joining a major regional enterprise operating at the intersection of the marine and energy sectors across the Middle East. Supporting critical energy infrastructure projects, the organization relies on robust ICT and operational infrastructure to maintain continuous, secure operations. They offer a stable, professional, and collaborative environment where information security, technology governance, and operational resilience are key strategic priorities.Your new roleAs the Information Security Specialist, you will report directly to the ICT Operations Manager and play a key hands-on role in operating and continuously improving the company’s enterprise security posture. You will manage day-to-day cybersecurity operations, coordinate closely with the managed Security Operations Center (SOC) and internal ICT teams, maintain security compliance evidence, and drive vulnerability remediation.Key responsibilities include:Security Operations & Monitoring: Reviewing security logs, monitoring alerts, and managing daily follow-ups with the SOC and internal ICT infrastructure teams.Vulnerability & Patch Management: Tracking vulnerability scan results, coordinating remediation schedules with system owners, and maintaining precise status trackers.Incident Response: Supporting event triage, initial evidence collection, incident escalation, and post-incident documentation.Security Tooling & Access Controls: Assisting in the maintenance and monitoring of EDR, SIEM, email security, DLP, firewalls, MFA, and conducting periodic identity/access reviews.Governance, Risk & Compliance: Preparing audit evidence, compliance dashboards, and supporting the implementation of security baselines (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls).Security Awareness: Assisting with security awareness communications, tracking simulated phishing campaigns, and providing guidance to internal users.What you'll need to succeedNationality Focus: UAE National with a Family Book is strongly preferred.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in information security operations, SOC support, vulnerability management, or general ICT security functions.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with EDR, SIEM, DLP, firewalls, endpoint protection, MFA, IAM, and system hardening practices.Framework Awareness: Solid understanding of core security standards including ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and local data protection requirements.Certifications (Preferred): Associate-level security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900 / SC-200, or ISO 27001 Foundation.Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills with strong cross-functional communication abilities.What you'll get in returnStability & Exposure: A key security role within a major player in the regional marine and energy ecosystem.Career Growth: Direct mentorship from the ICT Operations Manager with hands-on exposure across the full enterprise security architecture.Impact: The opportunity to build and refine security baselines and incident response workflows across enterprise operations.Package: Competitive tax-free salary and benefits package tailored to the UAE market.What you need to do nowIf you are interested in this opportunity, click 'apply now' to submit an up-to-date copy of your CV.
