Key ResponsibilitiesReview RFQs, specifications, datasheets, drawings and customer requirements for rotating equipment repair, overhaul and service opportunities.Understand and define the required scope of work for pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes and associated rotating equipment.Prepare complete technical and commercial quotations, including labour/man-hours, materials, spare parts, machining, subcontracting, field services, transportation and other execution costs.Coordinate with the Mechanical Supervisor and Workshop team to determine repair methodology, manpower requirements, machining requirements and expected execution duration.Coordinate with MHI and other OEM/service partners, where applicable, to obtain technical input, support requirements and pricing needed for quotation preparation.Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for spare parts, machining, balancing, coatings, NDT and other outsourced activities.Prepare detailed cost sheets and ensure all relevant direct and indirect costs are considered before commercial pricing and submission.Support Sales Engineers with technical clarifications, quotation revisions, tender requirements and customer queries throughout the bidding process.Review historical quotations, previous job costs and available pricing data to improve consistency, competitiveness and estimation accuracy.Maintain proper records of RFQs, quotations, revisions, supplier/subcontractor offers and estimation data.Support post-job cost review by comparing estimated versus actual execution costs and identifying lessons for future quotations.Assist with tenders, long-term agreements, shutdown/service contracts and other commercial submissions as required.Ensure quotations are accurate, professionally presented and submitted within customer deadlines.Required ExperienceMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in estimation, proposals or technical-commercial roles within rotating equipment services, mechanical maintenance or a closely related industrial service environment.Direct experience estimating rotating equipment overhaul, repair, maintenance, workshop or field-service activities is strongly preferred.Local oil & gas / industrial experience is highly preferred.Experience with ADNOC Group RFQs, tenders, procurement requirements or similar major oil & gas operators is a strong advantage.Experience working with rotating equipment service companies, OEM service workshops, pump/compressor repair companies or oil & gas maintenance contractors is preferred.Technical & Commercial KnowledgeGood understanding of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes and associated rotating equipment components.Practical understanding of overhaul and repair activities, machining/refurbishment, bearings, seals, balancing, inspection and related workshop processes.Ability to read technical drawings, datasheets, specifications and scopes of work.Strong understanding of labour/man-hour estimation, material costing, subcontractor pricing and supplier quotation evaluation.Ability to prepare structured cost sheets, technical proposals and commercial quotations.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and standard office applications; familiarity with ERP/CRM or quotation systems is an advantage.
