Lead Masterplanner – Dubai, UAESalary: Up to AED 45,000 per month (negotiable depending on experience)Location: Dubai, UAEWe are recruiting for a Lead Masterplanner to join a leading international consultancy delivering complex, large-scale masterplanning and urban development projects across the Middle East.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary masterplanning projects from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed masterplanning, authority approvals and implementation.This position requires a technically strong masterplanning professional with extensive experience managing complex developments, coordinating multiple disciplines and navigating regulatory and stakeholder requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and delivery of large-scale masterplans, including mixed-use developments, residential communities, urban extensions and major strategic developments.Manage multidisciplinary teams across urban design, architecture, infrastructure, transport, utilities, landscape and environmental disciplines.Oversee masterplanning from concept and feasibility through to detailed planning, statutory submissions and authority approvals.Lead coordination with relevant government authorities, municipalities, planning departments and regulatory bodies.Navigate complex planning regulations, land-use requirements, development controls, zoning parameters and infrastructure constraints.Manage complex stakeholder interfaces, balancing client objectives, authority requirements, technical feasibility and commercial considerations.Coordinate with infrastructure and engineering teams to ensure masterplans account for utility capacity, transport networks, access requirements and development phasing.Identify and resolve technical challenges relating to land use, plot development, circulation, infrastructure integration and regulatory compliance.Lead client presentations, technical workshops and stakeholder meetings.Oversee project programmes, deliverables, design quality and resource allocation across multiple workstreams.Provide technical leadership and mentoring to masterplanning and urban design teams.RequirementsDegree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.Extensive professional experience in masterplanning and urban development, with a strong track record in senior technical or project leadership positions.Proven experience leading complex, large-scale masterplanning projects, preferably within an international architectural or multidisciplinary consultancy.Strong understanding of the relationship between masterplanning, infrastructure, transportation, utilities and development feasibility.Demonstrable experience coordinating with UAE planning authorities, municipalities and other regulatory stakeholders.Excellent knowledge of planning frameworks, zoning regulations, development controls and authority approval procedures.Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex interfaces between consultants, clients, developers and government stakeholders.Strong communication, presentation and client management skills.Previous experience delivering major projects in the UAE or wider GCC is highly desirable.A salary of up to AED 45,000 per month, with flexibility for candidates who demonstrate exceptional experience and technical capability.This is an opportunity to join an established international consultancy and take a leading role in delivering major, technically challenging masterplanning projects across the region.
