Motor UnderwriterCompany: Insura.ae | Pioneer Insurance Brokers LLCLocation: Dubai, UAEExperience: Minimum 2 YearsEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout Insura.aeInsura.ae is a UAE-based insurance brokerage specializing in Motor, General, and Medical Insurance. We are looking for an experienced Senior Motor Underwriter who can manage motor insurance quotations, support the underwriting team, and take responsibility for day-to-day team coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle and review Motor Insurance quotation requests from the sales team.Analyze vehicle, driver, customer, and policy details to identify suitable insurance options.Obtain and compare quotations from multiple UAE insurance companies.Ensure quotations are accurate, competitive, and aligned with insurer underwriting guidelines.Coordinate with insurance companies regarding referrals, approvals, documentation, and special cases.Review and verify all required documents before submitting cases to insurers.Support the team in handling complex or non-standard motor insurance cases.Monitor quotation turnaround time and ensure timely responses to the sales team.Maintain proper records of quotations, referrals, approvals, and policy status.Identify process gaps and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and turnaround time.Lead and guide junior motor underwriters, allocate work, monitor performance, and provide on-job support.Conduct basic training and knowledge-sharing sessions for underwriting team members.Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Management to resolve underwriting-related issues.Stay updated with insurer products, pricing, underwriting guidelines, and UAE motor insurance practices.RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience in UAE Motor Insurance Underwriting or a similar role.Good understanding of UAE motor insurance products, insurers, and underwriting practices.Strong knowledge of vehicle categories, driver profiles, policy terms, and documentation requirements.Good communication and coordination skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.Ability to manage multiple quotation requests and meet strict turnaround times.Team leadership and people-management capability is required.Good working knowledge of MS Office and insurance portals.Ability to make sound underwriting decisions within company and insurer guidelines.Malayalam-speaking candidates will be an added advantage.Preferred CandidateWe are looking for someone who is not only technically strong in motor underwriting but can also take ownership, guide a team, solve complex cases, and maintain high service standards.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience and capabilities.Opportunity to work with a growing UAE insurance brokerage.Career growth and leadership opportunities.Professional and collaborative working environment.Exposure to multiple UAE insurance companies and motor insurance products.
