Job title: VP Business DevelopmentDepartment: Global Commercial OperationsLocation: Saudi Arabia or UAE% Effort or Hours: 100%Reports to: GM Middle EastCompensation Package: According to employment agreementJob purposeThe VP Business Development is responsible for growing the company's business in the assigned region by identifying new customers, opening strategic relationships, and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue. The role combines market insight, trusted relationship-building, and hands-on sales execution, with a focus on governments, public safety organizations, telecom operators, and enterprise customers. The VP works closely with the GM Middle East and internal teams to represent the company's full offering in the market.This role offers the opportunity to develop a stronger presence in a strategically important region, build relevant customer and partner relationships, and contribute to the company's international growth through concrete business development results.Duties and responsibilities1. Strategic Planning & Pipeline DevelopmentContribute to regional business development plans and translate them into a clear pipeline of target customers and opportunitiesIdentify emerging trends, competitive threats, and new business opportunitiesBuild and maintain a qualified pipeline of high-value prospects and active opportunities2. Sales Leadership & ExecutionOpen new strategic customer relationships across government, public safety, telecom and enterprise sectorsCreate business opportunities where no active sales process exists todayEngage senior decision makers and build trusted executive-level relationshipsDevelop strategic opportunities into customer relationships with potential for long-term partnership and recurring businessDrive "complex" deal pursuits from first conversation to contract signatureMaintain visibility on opportunity quality, next steps, and commercial progress throughout the sales cycle3. Relationship Building & CollaborationBuild and maintain local partner network as a key business development channelEstablish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencersRepresent the company at industry events, conferences and networking eventsRequirementsFluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is required, in addition to EnglishKey Competencies and ChallengesThese competencies describe the experience and mindset that are important for success in the role.
