As a Rate Management Senior Specialist, you will take ownership of complex rate and costing processes across systems and regions. You will lead initiatives to improve data accuracy, automation, and digitalization, and act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders. Your role includes mentoring junior team members and driving improvements in contract and tariff governance.Join us in connecting people and improving lives!In this Senior Rate Management Specialist position Contract & Tariff Management: Manage complex customer contracts and country tariffs, including governance and updates in systems (e.g. CW1, RMS)System Accuracy: Ensure high-level accuracy and consistency of rates and costs, including validation of currencies and exchange ratesAuto-Rating & Auto-Costing: Lead improvements in system-driven rating and costing processes, including integration with QuoteShop and other platformsStakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key liaison with commercial and operational teams to ensure strategic alignment of rate loading with customer needsCharge Code Expertise: Maintain deep expertise in Ocean Freight charge codes, calculators, USRs, and side charges; advise on complex scenariosService Standards Support: Support non-standard operational rates and cost impacts in line with DGF Service StandardsGlobal Account Coordination: Coordinate with global account teams to assess and improve local impacts of Global Customer accountsContinuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance automation, digitalization, and process optimizationIssue Resolution: Resolve complex system errors and lead root cause analysis across rate-relevant systems (e.g. CW1, RMS, Cargosphere)StakeholdersOcean Freight OperationsCommercial & Sales TeamsGlobal and Regional Rates & Billing TeamsIT & System Support TeamsManagement ResponsibilityIndividual contributor without direct responsibility for leading othersNow, here is what we need from you!
