🏛️ We’re Hiring: Public Affairs Specialist | Government Relations Officer🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time💼 Level: Mid-Level to SeniorWe are seeking a strategic and highly professional Public Affairs Specialist | Government Relations Officer to manage relationships with government agencies, public institutions, industry associations, and other external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will support government relations, public policy engagement, regulatory monitoring, stakeholder communication, and corporate reputation initiatives while helping the organization navigate the external regulatory and public-policy environment.🎯 Key Responsibilities• Develop and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, regulators, public institutions, industry associations, and key external stakeholders.• Monitor government policies, regulatory developments, legislative changes, and public-sector initiatives relevant to the organization.• Analyze potential business impacts arising from new regulations, government policies, and public-sector decisions.• Prepare briefings, policy summaries, stakeholder updates, and reports for senior management.• Represent the organization in meetings, consultations, forums, industry events, and government engagement activities.• Coordinate communication and engagement with relevant government departments and regulatory authorities.• Build and maintain a structured government and stakeholder engagement plan.• Support the development of public affairs and government relations strategies aligned with organizational objectives.• Identify emerging policy, regulatory, political, economic, and social issues that may affect business operations.• Conduct research on public policy, regulatory frameworks, industry developments, and government priorities.• Prepare responses, consultation submissions, position papers, briefing notes, and official correspondence where required.• Coordinate government-related inquiries, requests, consultations, meetings, and follow-up actions.• Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Risk, and business teams on regulatory and public affairs matters.• Support the organization's participation in government consultations and industry working groups.• Monitor parliamentary, regulatory, government, and industry announcements relevant to the organization.• Maintain accurate records of government contacts, meetings, policy developments, commitments, and engagement activities.• Develop stakeholder maps and assess the interests, influence, and priorities of key external parties.• Identify opportunities to strengthen the organization's relationships and reputation within relevant government and industry communities.• Support corporate social responsibility, community engagement, and public-sector partnership initiatives.• Coordinate government visits, official meetings, delegations, briefings, and stakeholder events.• Prepare talking points, presentation materials, background documents, and executive briefing packs.• Ensure external communications involving government or regulatory matters are accurate, consistent, and appropriately approved.• Monitor media, public discussions, and industry developments relating to government policies and the organization's operating environment.• Support crisis and issue-management activities involving regulatory, government, or public-policy matters.• Provide timely intelligence and recommendations to senior management on government and policy developments.• Evaluate stakeholder engagement outcomes and recommend improvements to government-relations strategies.• Ensure all government engagement activities are conducted professionally and in accordance with organizational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.✅ Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Government, International Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.• Previous experience in government relations, public affairs, regulatory affairs, corporate affairs, public policy, or stakeholder engagement.• Strong understanding of government structures, regulatory processes, public policy, and institutional relationships.• Experience communicating with government agencies, regulators, public institutions, or industry associations.• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex policy and regulatory information.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to prepare professional briefing papers, policy summaries, reports, presentations, and official correspondence.• Strong stakeholder-management and relationship-building capabilities.• Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and external stakeholders.• Strong understanding of corporate reputation and public-sector engagement principles.• Excellent negotiation, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills.• Ability to handle sensitive government and business information with discretion.• Strong political and regulatory awareness with excellent judgment.• Ability to identify potential risks and opportunities arising from policy and regulatory developments.• Strong project-management and organizational skills.• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder engagements, meetings, projects, and deadlines.• Experience working with Legal, Compliance, Communications, Risk, or Corporate Affairs teams is an advantage.• Familiarity with regulatory databases, government publications, public-policy research tools, or stakeholder-management platforms is beneficial.• Strong presentation and public-speaking abilities.• High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and ethical judgment.• Professional certifications or postgraduate qualifications in public policy, government relations, communications, or a related discipline are an advantage.🌟
