Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Retail Supervisor to oversee daily retail operations, supervise the team, drive sales, and ensure high standards of customer service, product presentation, and store performance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, operational, and commercial skills, with experience working in a fast-paced retail environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily retail operations, ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently.Lead, supervise, motivate, and support retail staff to maintain high service and performance standards.Prepare staff schedules, allocate duties, and manage staffing levels according to business needs.Provide excellent customer service, handling enquiries, feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally.Monitor sales performance, revenue, and daily targets, taking action to improve results.Support the implementation of sales strategies, promotions, campaigns, and merchandising initiatives.Ensure products are correctly displayed, priced, stocked, and presented according to company standards.Monitor stock levels, inventory, deliveries, replenishment, and stock accuracy.Conduct and support regular stock counts and inventory checks, investigating discrepancies where required.Manage cash handling, till operations, refunds, exchanges, and daily cash reconciliation in accordance with company procedures.Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing training, coaching, and development.Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, organisation, visual merchandising, and presentation.Ensure all company policies, procedures, health and safety requirements, and relevant regulations are followed.Handle day-to-day operational issues and resolve problems promptly and professionally.Review customer feedback, sales results, stock performance, and operational data to identify areas for improvement.Prepare and review sales, stock, cash, staffing, and operational reports as required.Coordinate with management, suppliers, warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.Take responsibility for store performance, team supervision, customer service, sales targets, and operational standards.RequirementsProven experience in retail supervision, retail management, customer service, or a similar role.Strong leadership and team supervision skills.Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.Good knowledge of retail operations, sales processes, merchandising, and stock management.Strong understanding of cash handling, POS systems, inventory control, and daily store procedures.Commercial awareness with the ability to support sales growth and achieve performance targets.Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to motivate, train, and support staff in a fast-paced retail environment.Good attention to detail, particularly in relation to stock, cash, product presentation, and store standards.Proactive, professional, reliable, and results-driven attitude.Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.Relevant qualifications in Retail Management, Business, Customer Service, or a related field are an advantage.
