Role Description The Consultant Neurology role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The consultant will provide comprehensive neurological assessment, diagnosis, and management for patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outpatient clinics and inpatient consultations, interpreting neuroimaging and diagnostic tests, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves supervising junior medical staff, contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement activities, and adhering to local regulatory and licensing requirements. The consultant is also expected to participate in continuing medical education, maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge, and support patient and family education regarding neurological disorders and treatment options.QualificationsSpecialist training and board certification in Neurology or equivalent, with substantial experience in managing a broad range of neurological conditions.Valid medical degree (MD or MBBS) and completion of recognized residency/fellowship in Neurology; eligibility for licensing with UAE health authorities (e.g., DHA, DOH, MOH).Proficiency in neurological examination, diagnostic reasoning, and interpretation of neuroimaging, EEG, EMG, and other relevant investigations.Strong skills in patient-centered communication, including explaining complex neurological conditions and treatment plans in a clear, empathetic manner.Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, including neurosurgery, rehabilitation, nursing, and allied health professionals.Commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical governance, and participation in audits, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives.Experience in teaching and mentoring junior doctors or medical students, and willingness to contribute to continuous professional development activities.Adaptability to a multicultural clinical environment, with respect for diverse backgrounds and adherence to non-discriminatory, ethical medical practice.
