Commodity Options Trader - Global 4bn Hedge FundLocation - Dubai, UAEDescription:A leading global multi-manager Hedge Fund is looking to add a Commodity Options Trader to their rapidly expanding UAE office. The role will sit within the greater Commodities business, but ideally focus on Oil and Metals options Trading. The group are willing to look at experienced traders from either the sell-side (with demonstrable position taking experience) OR from another Hedge Fund or Investment Manager. The role will report directly into the Head of Commodities, who also sits in Dubai, with ample opportunity to further expand the team in the near future.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute commodity options trading strategies across relevant markets, including oil, metals or agricultural commodities.Identify opportunities in implied volatility, realised volatility, volatility skew, term structure and cross-commodity relative value.Trade vanilla and exotic options, including calls, puts, spreads, straddles, strangles, risk reversals and other volatility-based structures.Analyse commodity supply and demand fundamentals, market positioning, inventory data, seasonality, weather patterns and macroeconomic developments.Develop pricing, hedging and risk management frameworks for complex options portfolios.Monitor market liquidity, volatility regimes and changing market dynamics to identify mispricing and trading opportunities.Manage counterparty exposure and execute trades across exchanges, brokers and OTC markets.Contribute to the development of the desk's trading infrastructure, risk frameworks and broader commercial strategy.Maintain disciplined risk management, ensuring positions remain within agreed limits and deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns.Ideal Candidates:Proven track record within the Commodity Options Trading spaceStrong understanding of options pricing, volatility surfaces, Greeks, hedging methodologies and derivatives valuation.Located in the UAE or willing to relocateFluent English speakingFamiliarity with exchange-traded derivatives, OTC structures, clearing arrangements and counterparty risk.
