In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating work across various facilities and spaces. You'll combine your trade expertise with a proactive, problem-solving approach to ensure all surfaces meet our exacting standards while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. Your collaborative spirit and commitment to excellence will be essential as you work alongside our facilities and maintenance teams to keep our properties in pristine condition.Execute high-quality interior and exterior painting projects, including surface preparation, primer application, and final finishing to achieve superior resultsPerform wallpaper application, plaster patching, caulking, and other decorative finishing work with precision and attention to detailConduct thorough surface preparation work, including cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and longevityIdentify and address wear-and-tear issues through regular inspections, implementing preventative maintenance to minimize future defectsMaintain and operate painting equipment and tools safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and upkeepMix and match colors accurately to meet project specifications and client requirementsAdhere strictly to all health, safety, and fire-life-safety protocols, ensuring safe work practices in all environmentsCollaborate effectively with engineering, housekeeping, and other team members to coordinate projects and minimize operational disruptionDocument work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered with transparency and accuracyRespond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, managing time effectively to meet project deadlinesQualificationsTrade Certificate in Painting and Decorating or equivalent demonstrable industry experienceProven experience in commercial painting and facility maintenance, ideally within hospitality, residential, or large-scale facility management environmentsStrong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and finishing standardsProficiency in color matching, mixing, and application across various surfaces and materialsSolid understanding of health, safety, and fire-life-safety protocols specific to painting operationsExcellent physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and work at heights when necessaryStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teamsDemonstrated problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issuesExceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanshipAbility to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlinesPositive, customer-focused attitude with a willingness to support team members and adapt to changing prioritiesFamiliarity with UAE climate considerations and their impact on painting and surface finishing work is preferredAdditional InformationAt Accor, we are committed to diversity.
