External Job DescriptionAbout POWERTECHPOWERTECH is a center of excellence for propulsion technologies, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of combustion engines, expendable turbojet engines, and turbofan engines for a wide range of aerospace, defence, and autonomous applications, including fixed- and rotary-wing UAVs and other advanced platforms.Role PurposeThe Senior Production Assembler is responsible for carrying out complex mechanical assembly activities within the Final Assembly Line (FAL) for propulsion systems, aerospace assemblies, and related sub-systems. The role supports high-quality production execution, ensures adherence to engineering drawings and manufacturing procedures, and provides technical guidance to junior assemblers during assembly, integration, and testing activities.Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly Operations Perform complex mechanical assembly and integration activities for engines, propulsion systems, and aerospace componentsInterpret and work from:Engineering drawingsAssembly proceduresBOMs and technical documentationAssemble precision mechanical parts, structures, piping, brackets, and subassembliesProduction & Manufacturing SupportSupport Final Assembly Line production targets and delivery schedulesIdentify assembly issues and escalate technical concerns to supervisors or manufacturing engineeringAssist in troubleshooting assembly non-conformities and rework activitiesTooling & Equipment Use assembly tools and equipment safely and correctly, including:Torque toolsPneumatic toolsMeasuring instrumentsLifting equipmentEnsure tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as requiredQuality & ComplianceFollow approved work instructions, SOPs, and quality proceduresComplete production and assembly records accuratelySupport inspection and quality verification activitiesTeam Support & LeadershipProvide guidance and on-job support to junior assemblers and techniciansAssist supervisors in coordinating daily assembly activitiesPromote teamwork, discipline, and a strong quality culture within the FAL teamQualifications & ExperienceEducation Diploma or Technical Certification in:Mechanical EngineeringIndustrial TechnologyAerospace ManufacturingExperience Minimum 5–8 years of assembly experience in:AerospaceAviationDefenceAutomotiveHeavy industrial manufacturingExperience in propulsion systems, engines, rotating equipment, or precision assemblies is highly preferredExperience working in Final Assembly Line environments preferred#Powertech
