By combining design and engineering expertise, Cretik enables clients to exceed industry standards and gain a lasting competitive advantage.Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Software Engineer role based in Dubai, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions and back-end services for web and mobile applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, integrating APIs, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with designers and product teams to deliver intuitive digital experiences. The role also involves participating in code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and contributing to architecture and technical decision-making. The Software Engineer will be expected to follow best practices, document work clearly, and support continuous improvement of development processes.Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, using modern languages and frameworks relevant to web and mobile solutions.Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in production systems.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and basic DevOps practices is an advantage.Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a hybrid, cross-functional team environment.Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus but not required.
