Location: Abu Dhabi, UAEEmployment Type: Full-timeJob SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Rebar Detailer / BBS Technician with practical experience in reinforcement detailing and preparation of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS). The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate reinforcement details, bar bending shapes, cutting lengths, quantities, and related drawings based on approved structural drawings.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for concrete structures.Prepare reinforcement detailing and rebar bending details for beams, columns, slabs, foundations, walls, and other RCC elements.Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.Calculate bar lengths, quantities, diameters, bends, hooks, laps, and shapes.Prepare accurate cutting and bending lists for reinforcement fabrication.Prepare and modify reinforcement/shop drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.Coordinate with the Civil/Structural Engineering and Site teams regarding reinforcement requirements.Review drawings and identify discrepancies or missing reinforcement details.Ensure reinforcement detailing follows approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.Coordinate with the rebar fabrication team to ensure bending schedules are practical and accurate.Maintain proper records of BBS, revisions, quantities, and drawings.RequirementsDiploma / Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant technical qualification preferred.2–5 years of experience in rebar detailing, reinforcement detailing, or BBS preparation.Strong knowledge of Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) preparation.Ability to understand structural drawings and reinforcement details.Good knowledge of rebar sizes, shapes, bends, hooks, laps, and cutting lengths.Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.Experience with CADS RC, RebarCAD, or similar rebar detailing software is an advantage.Candidates with strong practical experience in rebar detailing will also be considered even if they do not hold an engineering degree.UAE construction experience is preferred.Preferred CandidateThe ideal candidate should be able to independently take an approved structural drawing and prepare the complete reinforcement detailing and BBS, including bar shapes, dimensions, quantities, and cutting lengths.Immediate joiners are preferred.
