Sanctuary Veterinary Hospital treats every animal as family and is committed to keeping pets healthy, comfortable, and by their caregivers’ side for many years.Role Description The Experienced Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to companion animals in an on-site, full-time role based in Dubai. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, performing routine and advanced surgeries, and overseeing preventative health programs such as vaccinations and parasite control. The role involves interpreting diagnostic tests, collaborating with veterinary nurses and support staff, and ensuring accurate medical records and documentation. The veterinarian will communicate clearly and compassionately with caregivers, offer guidance on long-term health and wellness, and contribute to a calm, supportive clinical environment. Additional responsibilities include participating in clinical case discussions, adhering to hospital protocols and regulatory standards, and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.Qualifications Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent degree) with eligibility for veterinary registration in the UAE.Several years of clinical experience in small animal practice, including routine and advanced medical and surgical cases.Strong skills in clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning, including use of in-house laboratory and imaging diagnostics.Proficiency in soft tissue surgery and routine dental procedures; experience with more complex or specialist surgeries is an advantage.Ability to provide compassionate, clear communication and client education, with a focus on long-term pet wellness and caregiver support.Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and staying current with advances in veterinary medicine.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary veterinary team and support a positive workplace culture.High standards of professional conduct, including adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines.Experience in a purpose-built or referral hospital environment, and familiarity with advanced diagnostic equipment, is beneficial.Fluency in English; additional languages commonly spoken in Dubai are an advantage.
