In this role you will get to assist the Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of the day-to-day activities on the project with respect to assigned works.What You'll Be DoingPerforms well-defined field engineering assignments primarily involving constructability reviews and the observation of work in progressMaintains first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within his/her discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standardsAssists construction personnel with general technical detailsProvides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline; coordinates application of solutionsEstablishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staffMonitors discipline construction schedules and assists in progress appraisalProvides schedule and progress appraisal data to the Resident EngineerMonitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned disciplineEnsures that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standardsMaintains a daily log for permanent record of project construction, as well as discipline data for the final project turnover and report.Review Contractor’s submissions.Supervise site inspection staffPrepare progress reportPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateWhat Required Skills You'll BringBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of overall experience in infrastructure/stormwater projects in Abu Dhabi..Proven track record in supervising all aspects of road and general infrastructure projectsProficient in computer applications for data access, record management, report generation, and relevant engineering/construction software.Strong command of English, both written and spoken, with excellent technical writing and communication skills.Solid understanding of engineering and construction processes, as well as industry standards and best practices.What Desired Skills You'll BringMust have a good knowledge about contractual relationships.Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.Keep necessary records and as-built records and take charge of the handing over of the utility works to the respective service authorities and assist the contractor to obtain necessary.Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
