Business Development Manager – Import Cargo & Bonded LogisticsLocation: Ras Al Khaimah - UAECompany: Confidential – Leading GCC Port OperatorThe roleYou will win freight forwarders, importers and exporters as customers for a port operator’s cargo handling, Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO), bonded and customs clearance services. Freight forwarders are your clients — this is not a forwarding sales role. Your job is to make our port the first choice for their import cargo.What you will doBring new import volumes from forwarders, importers and logistics partnersSell RORO, general cargo, duty-bound and bonded logistics solutionsSet pricing, negotiate terms and close agreementsGrow revenue from the accounts you winWhat you need8+ years in the port, freight or logistics sector in this market, with at least 4 years in business development or commercial rolesStrong working knowledge of local customs, duty, clearance and bonded proceduresAn active local network of forwarders, importers and logistics partnersA proven record of winning new customers and revenueMust be locally basedThis is not for you if you have only sold freight space or forwarding services to shippers, your customs knowledge is purely operational rather than commercial, or you have no local market experience.
